When Spyros Sabatakis came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Thasas BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Spyros Sabatakis couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the game Vassilis Kiskabanis kicked a great long shot which passed Giannis Zacharakis straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-0. One couldn't see Vassilis Kiskabanis behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. 29 minutes into the match, Thasas BC's goal looked a bit too open when Thanasis Akrividis came free, but Vassilis Tsantirakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanasis Akrividis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vassilis Tsantirakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasios Bachaderoglou in the 32nd minute of play forced Thasas BC's goalkeeper Vassilis Tsantirakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Anastasios Bachaderoglou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thasas BC's Vassilis Tsantirakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vassilis Tsantirakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanasis Akrividis, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 37th minute, Thanasis Akrividis made a precise shot to the right of Vassilis Tsantirakis. Thasas BC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Vassilis Tsantirakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasios Bachaderoglou in the 43rd minute of play. When Lefteris Mousouris fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yiourgánista BC's protests and gave Lefteris Mousouris a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Yiourgánista BC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Lefteris Mousouris hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Vassilis Tsantirakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was a penalty for Thasas BC! When the match had been going on for 73 minutes, Yiourgánista BC's Koulis Katsourinis got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vassilis Tsantirakis. Thanasis Akrividis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute, Simos Vakouftsis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yiourgánista BC's Giannis Zacharakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Labakis in the 84th minute of play. Thasas BC's Nikos Panagidis suffered a concussion after 84 minutes and had to leave the field. Lefteris Mousouris got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Yiourgánista BC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Lefteris Mousouris hit a great ball. Yiourgánista BC's Giannis Zacharakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spyros Sabatakis in the 87th minute of play. Thanasis Akrividis charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thanasis Akrividis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Yiourgánista BC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Thasas BC:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Thasas BC's zone, Minas Karterouliotis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vassilis Tsantirakis came out of the goal and Minas Karterouliotis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
