Diogenis Koublis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kostas Vasilopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alekos Kontogiannopoulos in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Α.Ο. ΣΥΡΟΥ's Andreas Maras dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Zisis Bistiss short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Kostas Vasilopoulos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ booed when Α.Ο. ΣΥΡΟΥ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Maras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Notis Arnidis didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's Tasos Psariadis shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Kostas Vasilopoulos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andreas Maras showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 22 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kostas Vikos in the 33rd minute of play forced Α.Ο. ΣΥΡΟΥ's goalkeeper Notis Arnidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's Kostas Vasilopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tasos Psariadis made the kick off in the second half. Tasos Psariadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Notis Arnidis having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Andreas Maras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kostas Vasilopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alekos Kontogiannopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Timos Zacharopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Notis Arnidis made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Tasos Psariadis sent off a good shot on target. In the 75thth minute of the game Giannis Kanelidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Α.Ο. ΣΥΡΟΥ's Notis Arnidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Notis Arnidis was a little too slow when Marios Grigoriadis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 3-2. A collision led to A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Kostas Vikos hit a great ball. In the 84th match minute, A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Vikos to maneuver through the defense. Α.Ο. ΣΥΡΟΥ's Notis Arnidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Α.Ο. ΣΥΡΟΥ from getting a goal against them. 89 minutes into the match, A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's goal looked a bit too open when Alekos Kontogiannopoulos came free, but Kostas Vasilopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, one of A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ. 98 minutes into the game, Andreas Maras cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Kostas Vasilopoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Α.Ο. ΣΥΡΟΥ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
