Vlassis Botonakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaggelis Skiriotis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vaggelis Skiriotis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlassis Botonakis having to interfere. If Vaggelis Skiriotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝ ΑΡΧ.ΚΟΡΙΝΘΟΥ's goal looked a bit too open when Paraskevas Kalamaridis came free, but Vlassis Botonakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Palaiá Kariótissa BC's goalkeeper Fanis Zisimopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Paraskevas Kalamaridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Palaiá Kariótissa BC's Sotiris Valassoglou got a free kick in the 26th minute. Timos Kantimiris scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fanis Zisimopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute of the match, Gerasimos Karameris tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fanis Zisimopoulos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gerasimos Karameris's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fanis Zisimopoulos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Palaiá Kariótissa BC's Vaggelis Skiriotis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vlassis Botonakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Vladimiros Livathinos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The crowd rose to their feet as Palaiá Kariótissa BC's Vaggelis Skiriotis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vlassis Botonakis. That made the score 2-2 after 52 minutes of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝ ΑΡΧ.ΚΟΡΙΝΘΟΥ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Vlassis Botonakis, was totally fooled by Palaiá Kariótissa BC's Charis Lakis, who 61 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Timos Kantimiris struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Fanis Zisimopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝ ΑΡΧ.ΚΟΡΙΝΘΟΥ. Vaggelis Skiriotis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Vlassis Botonakis made a huge save. Vlassis Botonakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaggelis Skiriotis in the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Palaiá Kariótissa BC's Sotiris Valassoglou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vlassis Botonakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. Paraskevas Kalamaridis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vlassis Botonakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match, Paraskevas Kalamaridis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vlassis Botonakis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gerasimos Karameris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ΑΠΟΛΛΩΝ ΑΡΧ.ΚΟΡΙΝΘΟΥ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Palaiá Kariótissa BC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
