Marinos Kazantzos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 13th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Manolis Mamakos. The The Legend of Koutoumoύ fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when The Legend of Koutoumoύ's Akis Saltsidis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of The Legend of Koutoumoύ booed when Lιka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manos Passalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Akis Saltsidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simos Moulopoulos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 34thth minute of the game Alexandros Kalogerakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Legend of Koutoumoύ's Marinos Kazantzos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Akis Saltsidis sped through Lιka's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Simos Moulopoulos. After a defensive mix-up in Lιka's zone, Argyris Giannakopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simos Moulopoulos came out of the goal and Argyris Giannakopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half The Legend of Koutoumoύ were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Simos Moulopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akis Saltsidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Simos Moulopoulos managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when The Legend of Koutoumoύ's Argyris Giannakopoulos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Telis Panoutsos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simos Moulopoulos having to interfere. Argyris Giannakopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Simos Moulopoulos made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Argyris Giannakopoulos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Simos Moulopoulos, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Akis Saltsidis in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simos Moulopoulos saved Lιka from getting behind. 73 minutes into the game, Vassilis Velatos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lιka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Legend of Koutoumoύ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lιka's Vassilis Velatos got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Akis Saltsidis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Simos Moulopoulos came out and tried to block the shot, but Akis Saltsidis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 75th minute. Lιka's Simos Moulopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akis Saltsidis in the 80th minute of play. Manos Passalis struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Marinos Kazantzos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lιka. After having played for 84 minutes, Alexandros Kalogerakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lιka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandros Kalogerakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Argyris Giannakopoulos took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simos Moulopoulos. Simos Moulopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. The The Legend of Koutoumoύ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing The Legend of Koutoumoύ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
