Paschalis Batsidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute Themis Provatidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexis Vamvakas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexis Vamvakas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paschalis Batsidis in the 21st minute of the match. Vladimiros Tsoukalis made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Timos Panakis sent off a good shot on target. Takis Trichias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiros Tsoukalis having to interfere. Christoforos Filippas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Arνni FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Themis Provatidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panathinaikos AO's supporters rose to their feet, but Themis Provatidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexis Vamvakas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Themis Provatidis scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexis Vamvakas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Paschalis Batsidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Themis Provatidis in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexis Vamvakas saved Arνni FC from getting behind. When Themis Provatidis came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Panathinaikos AO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Themis Provatidis couldn't finish the play.

If Themis Provatidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Themis Provatidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Panathinaikos AO's Themis Provatidis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. A collision led to Arνni FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Vlassis Katakouzinos hit a great ball. Stratos Bletsas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Paschalis Batsidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paschalis Batsidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
