Bican Mert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Kabouris in the 3rd minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Chatziioannou Zindros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Asteras Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anthemounta United the free kick. After 9 played minutes Asteras Fc got a freekick which was hit by Chatziioannou Zindros. Sotiris Alexiadis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Spyros Xilas in the 11th minute. Asteras Fc's Bican Mert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantinos Papadatos in the 13th minute of play. Paris Marinos shot from long distance in the 16th minute, but Sotiris Alexiadis was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Fanis Zanteroglou hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Theagenis Karopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Sotiris Alexiadis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filip Kazimierz went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Paris Marinos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asteras Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Paris Marinos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sotiris Alexiadis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sotiris Alexiadis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Spyros Xilas in the 29th minute. Anthemounta United's Sotiris Alexiadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paris Marinos in the 30th minute of play. Bican Mert came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Anthemounta United's Panos Kabouris. But to his dismay, Panos Kabouris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Sotiris Alexiadis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paris Marinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Fanis Zanteroglou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sotiris Alexiadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitris Katopodis made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Spyros Xilas immediately put the ball in play. In the 46th minute Notis Giannou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sotiris Alexiadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aris Valsamis kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Panos Kabouris to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Kabouris in the 51st minute of play forced Asteras Fc's goalkeeper Bican Mert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Asteras Fc's Valdo Järv seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Valdo Järv the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Asteras Fc protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Valdo Järv had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Bican Mert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konstantinos Papadatos in the 55th minute. Bican Mert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panos Kabouris in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Kabouris in the 62nd minute of play forced Asteras Fc's goalkeeper Bican Mert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Panos Kabouris kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bican Mert. That made the score 1-2 in the 63 minute of play. Sotiris Alexiadis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spyros Xilas in the 67th minute of the match. Bican Mert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panos Kabouris, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Giannis Zotalopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paris Marinos might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sotiris Alexiadis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paris Marinos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute, Filip Kazimierz made a precise shot to the right of Sotiris Alexiadis. Anthemounta United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Sotiris Alexiadis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Kazimierz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zisis Patinios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anthemounta United's Panos Kabouris got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 93 played minutes Asteras Fc got a freekick which was hit by Chatziioannou Zindros. The audience was convinced that Filip Kazimierz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sotiris Alexiadis was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
