Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nikos Tokalidis took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 12th minute, Babbis Spyridakis made a precise shot to the right of Kyriakos Skoulikas. Panetolikos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 15 played minutes Panetolikos got a freekick which was hit by Alexandros Loukanidis. In the 27thth minute of the game Babbis Spyridakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panetolikos's Kyriakos Skoulikas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute of the match, Prokopis Maggioros got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dimitris Peponas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 30 minutes into the match, Babbis Spyridakis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kyriakos Skoulikas. Panetolikos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Babbis Spyridakis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giorgos Vardis to make the kick off. Dimitris Peponas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prokopis Maggioros in the 52nd minute of play. Telis Macheridis kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Néa Alikarnassos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgos Vardis came free, but Dimitris Peponas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Alexandros Loukanidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikos Tokalidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Kyriakos Skoulikas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Nikos Tokalidis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Néa Alikarnassos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The supporters of Néa Alikarnassos FC booed when Panetolikos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniil Lagos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
