Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Thymios Kitrinidis kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute Thymios Kitrinidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demis Geropanagiotis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute of the match Stelios Mizeridis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christos Giakoumis skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Plevroma getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Thanasis Christakoglou hit a great ball. Alexandros Makris charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandros Makris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Plevroma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandros Makris to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, Plevroma's goal looked a bit too open when Antonis Karagiannidis came free, but Christos Giakoumis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Antonis Karagiannidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Karavσmilos FC's Fragiskos Steliou broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 30th match minute, Plevroma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandros Makris to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the game, Thymios Kitrinidis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Demis Geropanagiotis. Thymios Kitrinidis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Christos Giakoumis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valerios Chatziapostolou in the 40th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valerios Chatziapostolou in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christos Giakoumis saved Plevroma from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Plevroma's goal looked a bit too open when Valerios Chatziapostolou came free, but Christos Giakoumis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thymios Kitrinidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valerios Chatziapostolou to make the kick off. Markos Charisteas hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Karavσmilos FC's Antonis Karagiannidis got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Antonis Karagiannidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Demis Geropanagiotis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thymios Kitrinidis's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plevroma's goalkeeper Christos Giakoumis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Demis Geropanagiotis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thymios Kitrinidis in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Giannis Efthimiou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Plevroma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karavσmilos FC the free kick. A collision led to Plevroma getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Giannis Efthimiou hit a great ball. A hard shot by Fragiskos Steliou from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Christos Giakoumis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 84th minute, Karavσmilos FC's Valerios Chatziapostolou dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Ilias Nifitsas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Christos Giakoumis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valerios Chatziapostolou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 91st minute Valerios Chatziapostolou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christos Giakoumis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Karavσmilos FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Plevroma:s goal. Thanasis Christakoglou walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Christos Giakoumis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonis Karagiannidis in the 98th minute.
