Fountana's Renos Karamanis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juliusz Wolnik in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Juliusz Wolnik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renos Karamanis. Fountana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juliusz Wolnik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 17th minute, Grigoris Agathoulis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loukianos Thanailakis got free with Alkis Lagos in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Renos Karamanis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juliusz Wolnik in the 47th minute of play forced Fountana's goalkeeper Renos Karamanis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Bambaliσ were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Fountana's zone, Grigoris Agathoulis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renos Karamanis came out of the goal and Grigoris Agathoulis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renos Karamanis made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Grigoris Agathoulis sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute, Loukianos Thanailakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fountana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. In the 89th minute, Fountana's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Grigoris Agathoulis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bambaliσ played a much better game than Fountana and deserved their victory. The Fountana players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
