Christoforos Giatrakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renos Karamanis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vaggelis Kapetanoglou's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. A collision led to Fountana getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Fanis Katsaros hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vaggelis Kapetanoglou in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renos Karamanis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th match minute, Monsouli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaggelis Kapetanoglou to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Fountana's Stratos Giannou got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Vaggelis Kapetanoglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The Fountana fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Fountana's Christoforos Giatrakis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 36th minute, Christoforos Giatrakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renos Karamanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleftherios Vasalas in the 40th minute of the match. Gerasimos Dimitrakopoulos's late challenge caught a Monsouli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerasimos Dimitrakopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. Themos Stefanoglou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerasimos Dimitrakopoulos in the 43rd minute. Marios Kostidis hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christoforos Giatrakis to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loukianos Thanailakis in the 52nd minute of play forced Monsouli's goalkeeper Themos Stefanoglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Monsouli's goal looked a bit too open when Loukianos Thanailakis came free, but Themos Stefanoglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loukianos Thanailakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Nikolas Koroneos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60th play minutes Loukianos Thanailakis shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Themos Stefanoglou and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Monsouli's Nikolas Koroneos got a free kick in the 65th minute. Christoforos Giatrakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themos Stefanoglou having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoforos Giatrakis in the 70th minute of play forced Monsouli's goalkeeper Themos Stefanoglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Christoforos Giatrakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themos Stefanoglou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute Fountana were awarded a corner. Alekos Baroutis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Fountana's Alekos Baroutis to fire away a dangerous shot which Themos Stefanoglou despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Themos Stefanoglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loukianos Thanailakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christoforos Giatrakis struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Themos Stefanoglou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fountana. After 85 minutes of play Fountana's Gerasimos Dimitrakopoulos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gerasimos Dimitrakopoulos hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Themos Stefanoglou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loukianos Thanailakis's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Fountana's Loukianos Thanailakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Themos Stefanoglou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fountana had won after a very even match.
