With a left leg Argyris Leras saved PROTESILAOS from getting behind. Stamatis Stratopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Argyris Leras having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Elika was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paschalis Gitsis to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Fragiskos Belonis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Argyris Leras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stelios Skounas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telis Giotis in the 22nd minute of the match. Fragiskos Belonis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Argyris Leras having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Apostolos Kourouklis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PROTESILAOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apostolos Kourouklis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 played minutes Elika got a freekick which was hit by Stamatis Stratopoulos. A long shot from Prodromos Lagonikakis in the 35th minute of play was well struck, but Stelios Skounas made a really good save at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fragiskos Belonis in the 36th minute of play forced PROTESILAOS's goalkeeper Argyris Leras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Dionysis Provatidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st match minute, Elika was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paschalis Gitsis to maneuver through the defense. Stelios Skounas came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by PROTESILAOS's Apostolos Kourouklis. But to his dismay, Apostolos Kourouklis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fragiskos Belonis made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Menelaos Dourekas during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, PROTESILAOS's Menelaos Dourekas got a free kick in the 56th minute. Argyris Leras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fragiskos Belonis, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fragiskos Belonis in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Argyris Leras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Apostolos Kourouklis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Fragiskos Belonis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Argyris Leras. That made the score 1-2 in the 67 minute of play. Konstantinos Rouvas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Argyris Leras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Elika getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Stamatis Stratopoulos hit a great ball. Stamatis Stratopoulos was in a good position and ended up with the ball after Elika's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. The supporters of Elika booed when PROTESILAOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panos Katsigiannis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Telis Giotis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stelios Skounas having to interfere. If Omiros Tserkesidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
