Koulis Kalabakas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionysis Georgiadis having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Khorιvtra's goal looked a bit too open when Michalis Salpiggidis came free, but Dionysis Georgiadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Notis Pardalakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Khorιvtra's supporters rose to their feet, but Notis Pardalakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Rokkos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Khorιvtra's Antonis Kretsos got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th match minute, o.f.i heraklio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koulis Kalabakas to maneuver through the defense. Michalis Salpiggidis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dionysis Georgiadis having to make a save. Koulis Kalabakas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionysis Georgiadis having to interfere. Eutichios Polichronos kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michalis Salpiggidis in the 41st minute of play forced Khorιvtra's goalkeeper Dionysis Georgiadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Khorιvtra getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Manos Marketis hit a great ball. When Koulis Kalabakas came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the o.f.i heraklio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Koulis Kalabakas couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Michalis Salpiggidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dionysis Georgiadis was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Antonis Kretsos hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Giorgos Rokkos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Notis Pardalakis in the 64th minute of the match. When Koulis Kalabakas came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the o.f.i heraklio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Koulis Kalabakas couldn't finish the play. The Khorιvtra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Grigoris Semertzidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Koulis Kalabakas scored 1-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dionysis Georgiadis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 86 played minutes Khorιvtra got a freekick which was hit by Eutichios Polichronos. The audience was convinced that Michalis Salpiggidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dionysis Georgiadis was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Dionysis Georgiadis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michalis Salpiggidis in the 96th minute of the match. The Khorιvtra fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. o.f.i heraklio were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
