When %teams%'s Nikitas Eleftheratos was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-0 just inside the left pole, 3 minutes into the game. Anastasios Dabizas was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. 10 minutes into the match, Kouvarαs's Periklis Katevatis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasios Tanalias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 15th play minutes Periklis Katevatis shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Anastasios Tanalias and just under the crossbar into goal. Periklis Katevatis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anastasios Dabizas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Nikitas Eleftheratos might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anastasios Dabizas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nikitas Eleftheratos ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, Indepented Cyprus United's goal looked a bit too open when Ilias Straggas came free, but Anastasios Tanalias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Makis Lagonikakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Periklis Katevatis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anastasios Tanalias was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikitas Eleftheratos made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Periklis Katevatis in the 57th minute of play forced Indepented Cyprus United's goalkeeper Anastasios Tanalias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Indepented Cyprus United's Anastasios Tanalias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Periklis Katevatis in the 59th minute of play. After 65 played minutes Kouvarαs got a freekick which was hit by Thalis Birbilis. After 69 minutes, Makis Zachopoulos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Indepented Cyprus United and the Kouvarαs players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Indepented Cyprus United's Makis Zachopoulos got a free kick in the 69th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Indepented Cyprus United's zone, Periklis Katevatis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasios Tanalias came out of the goal and Periklis Katevatis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Makis Lagonikakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Anastasios Tanalias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikitas Eleftheratos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nikitas Eleftheratos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Indepented Cyprus United booed when Kouvarαs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis Renieris didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Indepented Cyprus United's goalkeeper Anastasios Tanalias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anastasios Dabizas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikitas Eleftheratos, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 91 minutes, Louis Renieris mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kouvarαs and the Indepented Cyprus United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Kouvarαs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Renieris to maneuver through the defense. When Nikitas Eleftheratos came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Indepented Cyprus United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikitas Eleftheratos couldn't finish the play. Andreas Sitaropoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute.
