An unexpectedly hard shot by Iordanis Mourikis in the 5th minute of play forced Vathνremma BC's goalkeeper Diogenis Mavros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Giorgos Saltamaras came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Vathνremma BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giorgos Saltamaras couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Vathνremma BC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Eleftherios Papatsakalos hit a great ball. Giorgos Saltamaras kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Stefanos Papachantzakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vathνremma BC's goalkeeper Diogenis Mavros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iordanis Kaliasis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ntinos Tsigas, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Trifon Kotronas hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Odysseas Papakostas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kournorrakhi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vathνremma BC the free kick. In the 40th minute, Odysseas Papakostas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Manos Potamias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vathνremma BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manos Potamias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iordanis Kaliasis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diogenis Mavros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordanis Mourikis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ntinos Tsigas in the 45th minute of play forced Kournorrakhi's goalkeeper Iordanis Kaliasis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manos Potamias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordanis Kaliasis having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manos Potamias to strike the kick off in the second half. Iordanis Kaliasis made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Giorgos Saltamaras sent off a good shot on target. Iordanis Mourikis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stathis Ziogas hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Iordanis Mourikis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diogenis Mavros was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Iordanis Mourikis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kournorrakhi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Vathνremma BC's Eleftherios Papatsakalos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iordanis Kaliasis. That made the score 1-1 after 70 minutes of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kournorrakhi's goalkeeper Iordanis Kaliasis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Iordanis Mourikis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stathis Ziogas's late challenge caught a Vathνremma BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stathis Ziogas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vathνremma BC booed when Kournorrakhi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stathis Ziogas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ntinos Tsigas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordanis Kaliasis having to interfere. A collision led to Kournorrakhi getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Odysseas Papakostas hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the game, Manos Potamias recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iordanis Kaliasis. Manos Potamias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The Kournorrakhi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vathνremma BC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
