PAO Verias f.c.'s Theocharis Bibilas pulled a muscle in his leg after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Christodoulos Nestorakis fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pestani's protests and gave Christodoulos Nestorakis a yellow card for diving instead. PAO Verias f.c. made a substitution. Panos Alexatos replaced Theocharis Bibilas. The supporters of PAO Verias f.c. booed when Pestani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christodoulos Nestorakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babbis Paspalidis in the 74th minute of play forced Pestani's goalkeeper Argyris Chatzas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led PAO Verias f.c.'s Alkis Gekas to fire away a dangerous shot which Argyris Chatzas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Pestani's Fanis Mantarinopoulos in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanasis Kavazis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Argyris Chatzas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Argyris Chatzas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PAO Verias f.c.. Dimos Katsouranis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thodoris Pantazakos's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Kyriakos Karagiannopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
