Dimos Kavakos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Fivos Kostakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adamantios Prasanakis in the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sotiris Marinakis got free with Fivos Kostakos in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 56 played minutes, Vrakhnaνika BC's Christos Mazonakis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fivos Kostakos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. When Lakis Kalimeris came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Arísti FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lakis Kalimeris couldn't finish the play. When Stefanos Kamelakos fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vrakhnaνika BC's protests and gave Stefanos Kamelakos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vrakhnaνika BC's Stefanos Kamelakos got a free kick in the 76th minute.
