Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nasos Ntavelis started the match with the kick off. Apostolos Kefalopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaggelis Zorbas in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Menelaos Katsanevas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kosmirα's supporters rose to their feet, but Menelaos Katsanevas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apostolos Kefalopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Menelaos Katsanevas, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 14 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Apostolos Kefalopoulos was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Panos Amanatidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aggelos Samanoglou in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Kosmirα getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Vaggelis Zorbas hit a great ball. A hard shot by Apostolikas Maravas from long distance, 23 minutes into the match, got Panos Amanatidis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 26 minutes into the match, Kosmirα's goal looked a bit too open when Aggelos Samanoglou came free, but Panos Amanatidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dimitris Chatzistavros kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Kosmirα's Tilemachos Kokakias broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Πανιώνιος's Aggelos Samanoglou got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee ignored Πανιώνιος's protests and gave Dimitris Chatzistavros a yellow card for diving instead. Dimitris Chatzistavros hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Vaggelis Zorbas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kosmirα's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Apostolikas Maravas was slow to take the kick. During this time Πανιώνιος's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Πανιώνιος's corner Apostolikas Maravas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Panos Amanatidis quite easily take care of the ball. Apostolos Kefalopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nasos Ntavelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aggelos Samanoglou in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Panos Amanatidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 59 played minutes Kosmirα got a freekick which was hit by Prokopis Kostakoglou. With a little luck, Πανιώνιος's Apostolos Kefalopoulos got control of the ball when Menelaos Katsanevas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aggelos Samanoglou struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Panos Amanatidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Πανιώνιος. In the 71st minute, Kosmirα's Nasos Ntavelis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Apostolos Kefalopoulos. Apostolos Kefalopoulos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Aggelos Samanoglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Panos Amanatidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apostolos Kefalopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nasos Ntavelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iordanis Mouzis kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Apostolikas Maravas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Menelaos Katsanevas struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Apostolos Kefalopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kosmirα. When Themistoklis Stathakos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. The supporters of Kosmirα booed when Πανιώνιος was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Themistoklis Stathakos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
