Michalis Katevatis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marios Kavourakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Marios Kavourakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michalis Katevatis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charis Siobolos in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michalis Katevatis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nikos Skatzos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anthimos Fotakoglou in the 29th minute. In the 41st minute, Christos Zinas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Themos Koubilias charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Themos Koubilias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Themos Koubilias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charis Siobolos to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Panathinaikos Megara's Charis Siobolos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michalis Katevatis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Charis Siobolos kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Panathinaikos Megara's Charis Siobolos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Michalis Katevatis. That made the score 1-2 after 60 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Siobolos in the 72nd minute of play forced Klió FC's goalkeeper Michalis Katevatis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anthimos Fotakoglou might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikos Skatzos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anthimos Fotakoglou ran back to his position shaking his head. Anthimos Fotakoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Skatzos having to interfere. Stratos Karelas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nikos Skatzos. Panathinaikos Megara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charis Siobolos in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michalis Katevatis saved Klió FC from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Marios Kavourakis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Michalis Katevatis. The goal made the score 1-5. Panathinaikos Megara's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
