In the 18th minute, Lars Meesters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnout Reekers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cengizhan Baycan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. In the 23rd minute, David Eikelkamp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Bran Allison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Cengizhan Baycan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnout Reekers. That made the score 3-0 in the 34 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Cengizhan Baycan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Cengizhan Baycan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cengizhan Baycan in the 41st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 played minutes Cactos got a freekick which was hit by Alberigo Palomba. In the 44th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cactos's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bran Allison came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Cengizhan Baycan made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Cengizhan Baycan came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cactos fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Cactos's Maurinho Trezeguet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 60 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Cengizhan Baycan came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bran Allison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Trezeguet came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cengizhan Baycan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Luisinho Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Rodrigues in the 85th minute of the match. The Cactos players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
