Evripidis Giotakos charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evripidis Giotakos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, ARKALOHORION FC's Evripidis Giotakos got a free kick in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thanos Bounias in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vaggelis Massoutis saved ARKALOHORION FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanos Bounias in the 17th minute of play forced ARKALOHORION FC's goalkeeper Vaggelis Massoutis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1-0 became the score in the 24th minute when Thanos Bounias elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Vaggelis Massoutis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bert Feierabend. Thanos Bounias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vaggelis Massoutis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Thanos Bounias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaggelis Massoutis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of ASTERAS SYROU FC booed when ARKALOHORION FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vassilis Staikos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanos Bounias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiaguinho Brittos short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Vaggelis Massoutis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thanos Bounias made a kick off. Vaggelis Massoutis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerasimos Rentzis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanos Bounias struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Vaggelis Massoutis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASTERAS SYROU FC. Thanos Bounias kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 58thth minute of the game Thanos Bounias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ARKALOHORION FC's Vaggelis Massoutis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Thanos Bounias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Stathis Barkoglou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Vaggelis Massoutis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Thanos Bounias put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vaggelis Massoutis. If Thanos Bounias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vaggelis Massoutis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanos Bounias in the 80th minute of play. ASTERAS SYROU FC's Tiaguinho Britto got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ingvar Groven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaggelis Massoutis having to interfere. Thanos Bounias might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vaggelis Massoutis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thanos Bounias ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanos Bounias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
