Kostas Zouganelis started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, ASTERAS SYROU FC's Stathis Barkoglou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evripidis Tsaganos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anestis Koltsidas kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After having played for 9 minutes, Bert Feierabend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASTERAS SYROU FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bert Feierabend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanos Bounias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evripidis Tsaganos having to interfere. Evripidis Tsaganos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiaguinho Britto's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Ilias Fragis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Wirkner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiaguinho Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Evripidis Tsaganos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ASTERAS SYROU FC's Kurt Wirkner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Voskopoulos in the 24th minute of play. Thanos Bounias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Evripidis Tsaganos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lefkópetra BC's zone, Tiaguinho Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evripidis Tsaganos came out of the goal and Tiaguinho Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ilias Fragis hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the game, Thanos Voskopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kurt Wirkner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 35 played minutes Thanos Bounias rounded Lefkópetra BC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. 2-1 became the score in the 38th minute when Thanos Bounias elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanos Bounias struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Evripidis Tsaganos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASTERAS SYROU FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thanos Bounias to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanos Bounias in the 51st minute of play forced Lefkópetra BC's goalkeeper Evripidis Tsaganos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanos Bounias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the game, Thanos Voskopoulos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kurt Wirkner. Thanos Voskopoulos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Kurt Wirkner made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Thanos Voskopoulos sent off a good shot on target. Tiaguinho Britto struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Evripidis Tsaganos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASTERAS SYROU FC. Evripidis Tsaganos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanos Bounias in the 63rd minute of play. Thanos Bounias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Evripidis Tsaganos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanos Voskopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Kurt Wirkner made a huge save. 72 minutes into the match, Thanos Voskopoulos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kurt Wirkner. ASTERAS SYROU FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thanos Voskopoulos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 75 minutes into the match, Lefkópetra BC's goal looked a bit too open when Stathis Barkoglou came free, but Evripidis Tsaganos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Thanos Bounias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ASTERAS SYROU FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Groven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evripidis Tsaganos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Lefkópetra BC's zone, Thanos Bounias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
