Isidoros Natsouras kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st match minute, ΠΑΟΚ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Pragidis to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute Marinos Konstantinoulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Argyriou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikos Pragidis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Simos Koutos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nikos Pragidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Simos Koutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grigoris Zotalidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Argyriou having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marinos Konstantinoulis to make the kick off. ΠΑΟΚ's Thomas Argyriou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinos Konstantinoulis in the 61st minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arínista's goalkeeper Simos Koutos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Isidoros Natsouras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arínista's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΠΑΟΚ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Arínista's Isidoros Natsouras got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Nikos Pragidis struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Simos Koutos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ΠΑΟΚ. Arínista's Marinos Konstantinoulis was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 79th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Arínista's Grigoris Zotalidis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Argyriou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to ΠΑΟΚ getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Apostolikas Kalamatas hit a great ball. After 94 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ got a freekick which was hit by Konstantinos Labriakos. Arínista's Nontas Roditis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 95th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Thomas Argyriou but with some difficulty. Arínista were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
