Thomas Argyriou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thomas Argyriou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panos Mantzios's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Eutichios Skliros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Thomas Argyriou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eutichios Skliros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Argyriou having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Apostolikas Kalamatas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panos Mantzios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Argyriou having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ΠΑΟΚ's zone, Eutichios Skliros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Argyriou came out of the goal and Eutichios Skliros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panos Mantzios struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Thomas Argyriou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lazio FC. In the 36th minute, Eutichios Skliros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Lazio FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alkis Psiris fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Apostolikas Kalamatas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ignatios Chloros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Alkis Psiris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatios Chloros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eutichios Skliros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eutichios Skliros made a kick off. If Nikos Pragidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikos Pragidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignatios Chloros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Giorgos Chronatos hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Christos Giasemis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ignatios Chloros. Lazio FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eutichios Skliros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Lazio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Vangelis to maneuver through the defense. If Alkis Psiris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Panos Mantzios reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thomas Argyriou. The goal made the score 0-2. Thomas Argyriou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eutichios Skliros, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Alkis Psiris came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the ΠΑΟΚ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alkis Psiris couldn't finish the play. If Apostolikas Kalamatas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Lazio FC's Panos Mantzios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Argyriou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eutichios Skliros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Argyriou having to interfere. After 93 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ got a freekick which was hit by Apostolikas Kalamatas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giorgos Chronatos during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Giorgos Chronatos kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The ΠΑΟΚ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lazio FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Lazio FC.
