Adamantios Koklas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, one of ootgr:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. ootgr's Manolis Manolakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giotis Kelaidonis in the 26th minute of play. Giotis Kelaidonis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manolis Manolakos having to make a save. Manolis Manolakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgos Fanakis in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ootgr's Timos Tselementes got a free kick in the 31st minute. Adamantios Koklas came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by ootgr's Sotiris Chatziadis. But to his dismay, Sotiris Chatziadis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. ootgr's Timos Tselementes got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Timos Tselementes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Timos Tselementes came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the ootgr fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timos Tselementes couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Sotiris Chatziadis fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Adamantios Koklas, passed just outside the right post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giorgos Fanakis made a kick off. Giorgos Fanakis struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Adamantios Koklas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giorgos Fanakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in blackburn fc's zone, Sotiris Chatziadis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After having played for 87 minutes, Sotiris Chatziadis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ootgr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sotiris Chatziadis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the ootgr defense, Giotis Kelaidonis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manolis Manolakos. The ootgr fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manolis Manolakos should have stopped the shot. Chants of blackburn fc echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as ootgr had held the ball for most of the match.
