Spectators: 7587 (Terracing: 5691, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 151) The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Stergios Xanthakis put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of The Eagle:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kavala Oil FC:s goal. Christos Papaefstathiou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikos Kalipolitis, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Nikos Kalipolitis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christos Papaefstathiou having to make a save. Christos Papaefstathiou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Kalipolitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christos Papaefstathiou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikos Kalipolitis's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Nikos Kalipolitis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Papaefstathiou having to interfere. Anastasios Serafidis kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match Fanis Konstantinou sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christos Papaefstathiou skillfully saved the ball. After 22 minutes of play, Kavala Oil FC's Nikos Kalipolitis made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christos Papaefstathiou was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in The Eagle's zone, Achilleas Velakos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christos Papaefstathiou came out of the goal and Achilleas Velakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christos Papaefstathiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achilleas Velakos in the 31st minute of play. When Kavala Oil FC's Nikos Kalipolitis in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Eagle's goalie prevented a goal. In the 33rd minute Nikos Kalipolitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christos Papaefstathiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christos Papaefstathiou came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kavala Oil FC's Nikos Kalipolitis. But to his dismay, Nikos Kalipolitis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 39th minute, Achilleas Velakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute Nikos Kalipolitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christos Papaefstathiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Achilleas Velakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marios Salonikis struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Sid McBean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Eagle. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nikos Kalipolitis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christos Papaefstathiou was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Nikos Kalipolitis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nikos Kalipolitis really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. In the 59th match minute, The Eagle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasios Serafidis to maneuver through the defense. Achilleas Velakos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Christos Papaefstathiou made a huge save. In the 72nd play minute Achilleas Velakos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Christos Papaefstathiou. 0-5. 77 minutes into the match, Marios Salonikis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sid McBean. Kavala Oil FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marios Salonikis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Nikos Kalipolitis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Kavala Oil FC's Nikos Kalipolitis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christos Papaefstathiou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Nikos Kalipolitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89thth minute of the game Nikos Kalipolitis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Eagle's Christos Papaefstathiou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in The Eagle's zone, Achilleas Velakos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christos Papaefstathiou came out of the goal and Achilleas Velakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the game, Aimilios Tsochas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Eagle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kavala Oil FC the free kick. In the 91st minute, Aimilios Tsochas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nikos Kalipolitis came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Kavala Oil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikos Kalipolitis couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Kavala Oil FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than The Eagle throughout the match.
