Errikos Malliaras received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nikos Poulopoulos came out and tried to block the shot, but Errikos Malliaras slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. Kato Zalogko's Nikos Poulopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Errikos Malliaras in the 18th minute of play. Nikos Spilias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Nikos Poulopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Errikos Malliaras came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Rιthimnon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Errikos Malliaras couldn't finish the play. Panagiotis Tzikas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marinos Domazos in the 24th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Nontas Spaneas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Panagiotis Tzikas was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Panagiotis Tzikas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nontas Spaneas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Kato Zalogko got a freekick which was hit by Giannis Koukoglou. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Errikos Malliaras in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nikos Poulopoulos saved Kato Zalogko from getting behind. Errikos Malliaras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikos Poulopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Errikos Malliaras in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Giannis Koukoglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panagiotis Tzikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nontas Spaneas, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Nontas Spaneas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panagiotis Tzikas having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Errikos Malliaras was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Kato Zalogko's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Spilias came free, but Nikos Poulopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikos Spilias scored 2-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nikos Poulopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Nontas Spaneas took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Panagiotis Tzikas to make any attempt to save it. 71 minutes into the game, Rιthimnon FC's Errikos Malliaras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikos Poulopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Errikos Malliaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Spilias in the 78th minute of play forced Kato Zalogko's goalkeeper Nikos Poulopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Rιthimnon FC's Nikos Spilias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nikos Poulopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nikos Spilias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Poulopoulos having to interfere. Nontas Spaneas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Panagiotis Tzikas having to make a save. In the 90th match minute, Rιthimnon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Kalokiris to maneuver through the defense. Rιthimnon FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kato Zalogko for a fine match.
