Stavros Markonis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giorgos Loukidis went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. star's Dionysis Loukoumas got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, star's goal looked a bit too open when Eutichios Stafilas came free, but Thomas Loubadiaris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Loubadiaris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignatios Missiakos went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute, Miltos Topouzis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stavros Markonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionysis Loukoumas in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Giorgos Loukidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Giorgos Loukidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Π.Α.Ο.Κ's goal looked a bit too open when Dionysis Loukoumas came free, but Stavros Markonis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Giorgos Loukidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. star's supporters rose to their feet, but Giorgos Loukidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stavros Markonis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stavros Markonis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionysis Loukoumas, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, star's Thomas Loubadiaris got control of the ball when Miltos Tabakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dionysis Loukoumas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 78 minutes of play, star's Giorgos Loukidis made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 85thth minute of the game Dionysis Loukoumas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Π.Α.Ο.Κ's Stavros Markonis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Dionysis Loukoumas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stavros Markonis. Π.Α.Ο.Κ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dionysis Loukoumas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Giorgos Loukidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stavros Markonis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionysis Loukoumas, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Vaggelis Katsikis's late challenge caught a Π.Α.Ο.Κ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Giorgos Loukidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. star fully deserved thier win.
