Spectators: 7423 (Terracing: 5682, Seating: 1741, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miltos Ntavelis started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Dhragαnon FC's zone, Miltos Ntavelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vânderson Vale came out of the goal and Miltos Ntavelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prokopis Mavrogenidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Errikos Kakaris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Apostolos Koubilias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miltos Ntavelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Vale having to interfere. In the 20th minute Errikos Kakaris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Sapanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes, Miltos Ntavelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Agios Ioanis Gigenon and the Dhragαnon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Miltos Ntavelis hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Miltos Ntavelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vânderson Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. During the 35th minute of the match Miltos Ntavelis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Miltos Ntavelis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Miltos Ntavelis kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to Agios Ioanis Gigenon getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Simos Dermitzakis hit a great ball. Dhragαnon FC were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Agios Ioanis Gigenon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Charis Kouvas took the corner. The corner ended in Sotos Kalamarakis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Agios Ioanis Gigenon's Dimitris Sapanis did a great save. After the first half Agios Ioanis Gigenon were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Errikos Kakaris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Apostolos Koubilias came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vânderson Vale could save by the left post. Dimitris Sapanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sotos Kalamarakis in the 61st minute of the match. If Theofanis Koutsos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dhragαnon FC booed when Agios Ioanis Gigenon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simos Dermitzakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Eleftherios Andreadakis put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Agios Ioanis Gigenon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! Apostolos Koubilias came free in the 79th minute and tried to tip the ball over Vânderson Vale, but to the joy of Dhragαnon FC's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Louis Dentsas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Sapanis having to interfere. Simos Dermitzakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Vânderson Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apostolos Koubilias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vânderson Vale having to make a save. The supporters of Dhragαnon FC booed when Agios Ioanis Gigenon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prokopis Mavrogenidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dimitris Sapanis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Errikos Kakaris in the 94th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Errikos Kakaris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Dimitris Sapanis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Apostolos Koubilias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Vale having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Agios Ioanis Gigenon failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
