Spectators: 7540 (Terracing: 5694, Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fragiskos Partalidis started the match with the kick off. Vassilis Kosmoulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Valerios Nikolaidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vassilis Kosmoulis scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valerios Nikolaidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lakis Tsakrilis during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, PAOK FC's Panos Chatzakoglou got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Fragiskos Partalidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Fragiskos Partalidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valerios Nikolaidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PAOK FC's Valerios Nikolaidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fragiskos Partalidis in the 18th minute of play. Valerios Nikolaidis made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Vassilis Kosmoulis sent off a good shot on target. Valerios Nikolaidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fragiskos Partalidis in the 22nd minute of the match. Fragiskos Partalidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 minutes, Kostas Ivanidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PAOK FC and the METS AO players grew even worse after the yellow card. PAOK FC's Valerios Nikolaidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save PAOK FC from getting a goal against them.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kostas Ivanidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. PAOK FC's Valerios Nikolaidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fragiskos Partalidis in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to PAOK FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Markos Kapranidis hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, PAOK FC's Markos Kapranidis got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute of the match Marinos Kourmentalas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valerios Nikolaidis skillfully saved the ball. Fragiskos Partalidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PAOK FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
