The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christos Dedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aggelos Bantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Roúson BC's Charis Spetzopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christos Boukouvalas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Charis Spetzopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Christos Boukouvalas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Tasos Tsiafkaris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christos Dedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Roúson BC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Giorgos Kareklopoulos hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Aggelos Bantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zondhila's supporters rose to their feet, but Aggelos Bantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christos Dedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Roúson BC's goal looked a bit too open when Tasos Tsiafkaris came free, but Christos Dedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panos Svolopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Aggelos Bantas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christos Dedes. Roúson BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aggelos Bantas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Tasos Tsiafkaris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alkinoos Papafanopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Christos Dedes came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Zondhila's Aggelos Bantas. But to his dismay, Aggelos Bantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Christos Dedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tasos Tsiafkaris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tasos Tsiafkaris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panos Svolopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roúson BC's Christos Dedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Svolopoulos in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tasos Tsiafkaris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aggelos Bantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alkinoos Papafanopoulos fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roúson BC's protests and gave Alkinoos Papafanopoulos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Zondhila booed when Roúson BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alkinoos Papafanopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stathis Kassianidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Boukouvalas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stathis Kassianidis in the 86th minute of play forced Zondhila's goalkeeper Christos Boukouvalas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aggelos Bantas might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christos Dedes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aggelos Bantas ran back to his position shaking his head. If Aggelos Bantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Zondhila's Tasos Tsiafkaris in the 96th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Christos Dedes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Roúson BC through an amazing save. The Zondhila players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
