Fragiskos Samarakos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Charalambos Charalambidis made a huge save. Zacharias Stergiotis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dimitris Konstantinidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Simos Thanopoulos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Charalambos Charalambidis. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Lefteris Moschovitis hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Piryιla's goalkeeper Charalambos Charalambidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fragiskos Samarakos. In the 44th match minute, Piryιla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotos Vrinios to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simos Thanopoulos to make the kick off. Kleon Georgakopoulos came out of the goal and Alkaios Ntalaras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Piryιla booed when Spνtia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleftherios Geronimakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Spνtia FC's zone, Zacharias Stergiotis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kleon Georgakopoulos came out of the goal and Zacharias Stergiotis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zacharias Stergiotis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 65th minute, Fragiskos Samarakos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spνtia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 68 played minutes Spνtia FC got a freekick which was hit by Nikolas Thanailakis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simos Thanopoulos in the 73rd minute of play forced Piryιla's goalkeeper Charalambos Charalambidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Simos Thanopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charalambos Charalambidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charalambos Charalambidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Salemenopoulos in the 77th minute of play. Spνtia FC were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Piryιla's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eleftherios Geronimakis took the corner. Simos Thanopoulos scored 4-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charalambos Charalambidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Spνtia FC were the better team. Spνtia FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
