The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Takis Savourogiannis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nasos Tsipas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Telios in the 46th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marinos Zafiriou in the 47th minute of play forced Voοvatα FC's goalkeeper Takis Savourogiannis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marinos Zafiriou made a kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Voοvatα FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Babbis Koklas was slow to take the kick. During this time Koskiniα FC's players had a chance to rest. After 56 played minutes Voοvatα FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustratios Kalifoulis. The supporters of Koskiniα FC booed when Voοvatα FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Telios didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Giorgos Telios cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nasos Tsipas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marinos Zafiriou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Takis Savourogiannis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 68thth minute of the game Marinos Zafiriou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Voοvatα FC's Takis Savourogiannis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Koskiniα FC's Nasos Tsipas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Telios in the 70th minute of play. Nasos Tsipas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Argyris Tsakarelidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Koskiniα FC's Babbis Chiotis got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Giorgos Telios cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Nasos Tsipas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 82nd minute Grigoris Kastanakoglou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nasos Tsipas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marinos Zafiriou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Takis Savourogiannis was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. If Sotiris Kapeliotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Voοvatα FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
