Petros Prekkas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 7 minutes, Dimitris Giannitsas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savállia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dimitris Giannitsas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vaios Kailas struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Anthimos Tsiartas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lαnthion BC. Dimitris Giannitsas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Zinon Georgiadis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27thth minute of the game Dimitris Giannitsas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lαnthion BC's Zinon Georgiadis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th match minute, Savállia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordanis Ferekidis to maneuver through the defense. Lαnthion BC's Fondas Kouveliotis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Anthimos Tsiartas but with some difficulty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Odysseas Parafestas in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anthimos Tsiartas saved Savállia FC from getting behind. In the 36th match minute, Lαnthion BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apostolikas Terzopoulos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Lαnthion BC's zone, Petros Prekkas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zinon Georgiadis came out of the goal and Petros Prekkas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zinon Georgiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petros Prekkas in the 41st minute of play. Vaios Kailass short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Anthimos Tsiartas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Odysseas Parafestas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthimos Tsiartas having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Savállia FC's zone, Odysseas Parafestas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthimos Tsiartas came out of the goal and Odysseas Parafestas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petros Prekkas to make the kick off. The corner led Savállia FC's Petros Prekkas to a score. 0-1 in the 52nd minute. Anthimos Tsiartas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaios Kailas in the 56th minute of play. Anthimos Tsiartas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odysseas Parafestas in the 57th minute of the match. Vaios Kailas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthimos Tsiartas having to interfere. A collision led to Lαnthion BC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Alexandros Papaioannou hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Savállia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vaios Kailas came free, but Anthimos Tsiartas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petros Prekkas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zinon Georgiadis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petros Prekkas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute Petros Prekkas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zinon Georgiadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Savállia FC's Anthimos Tsiartas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odysseas Parafestas in the 74th minute of play. Odysseas Parafestas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthimos Tsiartas having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Lαnthion BC's Odysseas Parafestas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anthimos Tsiartas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Vaios Kailas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute Apostolikas Terzopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthimos Tsiartas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Savállia FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
