After a rather tough play, Greveníta's Lambis Pegiadis got a free kick in the 7th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Savállia FC's Sotiris Kroustallis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 10thth minute of the game Dimitris Giannitsas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Greveníta's Christodoulos Karatsolis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantinos Kontaxis in the 12th minute of play forced Savállia FC's goalkeeper Anthimos Tsiartas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Greveníta's Christodoulos Karatsolis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitris Giannitsas in the 13th minute of play. Dimitris Mylonas kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Anthimos Tsiartas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantinos Kontaxis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spyros Kedakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Greveníta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giannis Klidis to maneuver through the defense. Sotiris Kroustallis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christodoulos Karatsolis. Greveníta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 34th minute, Petros Prekkas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Savállia FC's Dimitris Giannitsas got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Greveníta's goal looked a bit too open when Petros Prekkas came free, but Christodoulos Karatsolis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Panos Ligouras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petros Prekkas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petros Prekkas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christodoulos Karatsolis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Giannis Klidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Greveníta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Savállia FC the free kick. 48 minutes into the match, Petros Prekkas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christodoulos Karatsolis. Greveníta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petros Prekkas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The Greveníta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Savállia FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petros Prekkas to make the kick off. Spyros Kedakis scored 1-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anthimos Tsiartas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anthimos Tsiartas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spyros Kedakis in the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Savállia FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stathis Vandis was slow to take the kick. During this time Greveníta's players had a chance to rest. Spyros Kedakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dimitris Giannitsas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Greveníta's zone, Dimitris Giannitsas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christodoulos Karatsolis came out of the goal and Dimitris Giannitsas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Petros Prekkas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christodoulos Karatsolis was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After having played for 88 minutes, Petros Prekkas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savállia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petros Prekkas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Savállia FC's Thomas Banakakis got a free kick in the 95th minute. With splendid footwork Petros Prekkas arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 98th minute. When the match was over Savállia FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Greveníta throughout the match.
