Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Minas Kanavos took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Minas Kanavos in the 6th minute of play forced Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Sotiris Michalolias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Stelios Maropoulos made a precise shot to the right of Sotiris Michalolias. Olympiacos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Vlassis Venieris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lazaros Samaras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ayía Kiriakí FC's Stelios Maropoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Olympiacos FC's Vaios Strevlos got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Minas Kanavos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vlassis Venieris in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lazaros Samaras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lazaros Samaras made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Tolis Gavrilidis sent off a good shot on target. Ayía Kiriakí FC's Lazaros Samaras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Ayía Kiriakí FC from getting a goal against them. Sotiris Michalolias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Minas Kanavos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ayía Kiriakí FC's Minas Kanavos in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vlassis Venieris was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Minas Kanavos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sotiris Michalolias saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Minas Kanavos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lazaros Samaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolis Gavrilidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 59 played minutes Olympiacos FC got a freekick which was hit by Charilaos Konstantinou. Lazaros Samaras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vlassis Venieris in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Minas Kanavos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sotiris Michalolias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tolis Gavrilidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sotiris Michalolias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Minas Kanavos in the 68th minute of play. Minas Kanavos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tolis Gavrilidis hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vlassis Venieris in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lazaros Samaras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lazaros Samaras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolis Gavrilidis in the 87th minute of the match. Vlassis Venieris took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lazaros Samaras. Lazaros Samaras dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 93rd minute, Stelios Maropoulos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ayía Kiriakí FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Ayía Kiriakí FC played a much better game than Olympiacos FC and deserved their victory. The Olympiacos FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
