Red Dragon Fire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ the free kick. The supporters of ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ booed when Red Dragon Fire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktoras Asimakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Red Dragon Fire's zone, Panos Polymerou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marinos Varouchas came out of the goal and Panos Polymerou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Red Dragon Fire's Timos Sarris got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ booed when Red Dragon Fire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timos Sarris didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Iordanis Stamatelopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panos Polymerou struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Marinos Varouchas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ. 39 minutes into the game, Panos Asimoulis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The audience was convinced that Panos Polymerou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marinos Varouchas was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 42ndth minute of the game Panos Polymerou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Dragon Fire's Marinos Varouchas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Panos Polymerou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panos Polymerou in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marinos Varouchas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Panos Polymerou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ's Robert Kalliokoski got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Panos Polymerou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Marinos Varouchas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marinos Varouchas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Polymerou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panos Polymerou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marinos Varouchas having to interfere. Robert Kalliokoskis short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Marinos Varouchas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Akis Varakis had several of the Red Dragon Fire's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 79 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Marinos Varouchas as he didn't even see the shot coming. Akis Varakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marinos Varouchas having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Akis Varakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ's supporters rose to their feet, but Akis Varakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marinos Varouchas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute, Akis Varakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Akis Varakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alekos Kapatais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Red Dragon Fire throughout the match.
