The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fokas Maggioros to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Vazeleiakos's zone, Panos Polymerou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panos Perpelidis came out of the goal and Panos Polymerou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ's Akis Varakis was substituted for Panos Polymerou. Panos Perpelidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akis Varakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ's Akis Varakis was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 94th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Vazeleiakos could leave the field as winners, despite ΦΟΙΝΙΚΑΣ having more of the ball for most of the match.
