The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The attack was good, but when Nikos Giotakis in the 3rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ilias Ikonomou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Thodoris Kastanidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kostas Lisgaras's late challenge caught a Kouvarα BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kostas Lisgaras helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kilkis City's Kostas Lisgaras got a free kick in the 8th minute. If Nikos Giotakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nikos Giotakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. After 34 played minutes Kilkis City got a freekick which was hit by Miltiadis Soufleris. Thodoris Kastanidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charis Kopelis in the 35th minute of the match. Ilias Ikonomou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikos Giotakis to strike the kick off in the second half. Thodoris Kastanidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Giotakis in the 53rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ilias Ikonomou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kouvarα BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilias Ikonomou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thodoris Kastanidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th match minute, Kouvarα BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Vouzatos to maneuver through the defense. In the 58thth minute of the game Nikos Giotakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kilkis City's Thodoris Kastanidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nikos Giotakis struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Thodoris Kastanidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kouvarα BC. In the 62nd minute, Kilkis City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nikos Giotakis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kouvarα BC's attack was well implemented in the 67th minute, but when Nikos Giotakis was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 71st minute, Nikos Giotakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kouvarα BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. If Nikos Giotakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thodoris Kastanidis came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Kouvarα BC's Aggelos Sotirakos. But to his dismay, Aggelos Sotirakos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. A collision led to Kouvarα BC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Aggelos Sotirakos hit a great ball. Ilias Ikonomou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nikos Giotakis came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Kouvarα BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikos Giotakis couldn't finish the play. Nikos Giotakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Thodoris Kastanidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kouvarα BC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
