An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Laganas in the 3rd minute of play forced santa ARGENTINA FC's goalkeeper Nikitas Papaikonomou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute, Stefanos Papadogiannis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikitas Papaikonomou was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, santa ARGENTINA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stefanos Papadogiannis came free, but Nikitas Papaikonomou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Fanis Zacharopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Farsala's supporters rose to their feet, but Fanis Zacharopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikitas Papaikonomou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nikos Papanikolopoulos hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Fanis Zacharopoulos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikitas Papaikonomou. santa ARGENTINA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fanis Zacharopoulos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Stefanos Papadogiannis might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikitas Papaikonomou. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefanos Papadogiannis ran back to his position shaking his head. Nikitas Papaikonomou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Laganas in the 36th minute of play. Christoforos Basinas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fanis Zacharopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Nikitas Papaikonomou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viktoras Bibilas was the one to do the kick off. If Nikos Papanikolopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Farsala defense, Christoforos Basinas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sakis Bikakis. The Farsala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sakis Bikakis should have stopped the shot. 61 minutes into the game, Alekos Botitsis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Farsala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave santa ARGENTINA FC the free kick. In the 62nd minute of the match Loukas Fasolis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sakis Bikakis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. santa ARGENTINA FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Stefanos Papadogiannis scored to the left of an out of position Nikitas Papaikonomou, making the score, 1-3. Stefanos Papadogiannis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Nikitas Papaikonomou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Fanis Zacharopoulos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Farsala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After 80 played minutes Farsala got a freekick which was hit by Isidoros Meimarakis. With a little luck, santa ARGENTINA FC's Nikitas Papaikonomou got control of the ball when Alekos Botitsis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Farsala's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
