The crowd rose to their feet as Niki Sitias's Paris Charoulis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Omiros Papageorgiou. That made the score 1-0 after 41 minutes of play. Christos Plousis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Spyros Ntaifas during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christos Plousis made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Strofyliakos's zone, Christos Plousis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omiros Papageorgiou came out of the goal and Christos Plousis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 52nd minute Paris Charoulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omiros Papageorgiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Christos Plousis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Niki Sitias fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Christos Plousis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Valerios Karagoutis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strofyliakos's supporters rose to their feet, but Valerios Karagoutis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sokratis Krasakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th match minute, Niki Sitias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Spyros Ntaifas to maneuver through the defense. In the 89thth minute of the game Giannis Bonatsos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Niki Sitias's Sokratis Krasakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dimitris Ksiromeritis lost his temper 93 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 92 minutes into the game, one of Strofyliakos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pantelis Dermitzakis placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Pavlos Ivanidis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Omiros Papageorgiou. Strofyliakos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Niki Sitias fully deserved thier win.
