The Karababαs BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostas Plevritis should have stopped the shot. Niki Sitias's Sokratis Krasakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Niki Sitias from getting a goal against them. After 17 minutes of play, Niki Sitias's Paris Charoulis made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kostas Plevritis was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Themistoklis Borovilos came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Karababαs BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Themistoklis Borovilos couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Fotis Kalokiris left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karababαs BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 27th minute, Christos Plousis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 31 minutes, Fotis Kalokiris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karababαs BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fotis Kalokiris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Niki Sitias's goalkeeper Sokratis Krasakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fotis Kalokiris. Sokratis Krasakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Themistoklis Borovilos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sokratis Krasakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Karababαs BC's Babbis Karagounis got a free kick in the 46th minute. The audience was convinced that Christos Plousis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kostas Plevritis was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After the first half Niki Sitias were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Christos Plousis made the kick off in the second half. If Themistoklis Borovilos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Fotis Kalokiris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Karababαs BC's zone, Christos Plousis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Plevritis came out of the goal and Christos Plousis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Christos Plousis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karababαs BC's Kostas Plevritis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The long shot by Evripidis Kriaropoulos in the 59th minute really tested Kostas Plevritis's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Nektarios Marakis kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Niki Sitias's Sokratis Krasakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themistoklis Borovilos in the 65th minute of play. Christos Plousiss short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Kostas Plevritis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 71 minutes into the match, Karababαs BC's goal looked a bit too open when Christos Plousis came free, but Kostas Plevritis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vrasidas Moraitis hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Christos Plousis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Kostas Plevritis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Petros Papagiannoulis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kostas Plevritis having to make a save. 80 minutes into the match, Niki Sitias's Christos Plousis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kostas Plevritis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Karababαs BC! When the match had been going on for 85 minutes, Niki Sitias's Pantelis Dermitzakis got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kostas Plevritis. Fotis Kalokiris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 98 minutes, Christos Plousis made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Karababαs BC's Kostas Plevritis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
