Viktoras Papadogiannis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tasos Koumantarakis. Mavráta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Achilleas Tsardikos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theodosis Kiprakis in the 27th minute of play. Miltos Kopitsis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tasos Koumantarakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viktoras Papadogiannis hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petros Tsioridis in the 39th minute of play forced Kleistó FC's goalkeeper Achilleas Tsardikos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Petros Tsioridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Kleistó FC defense, Petros Tsioridis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Achilleas Tsardikos. The Kleistó FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Achilleas Tsardikos should have stopped the shot. 50 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kleistó FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anastasios Stratakos was slow to take the kick. During this time Mavráta's players had a chance to rest. The Kleistó FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mavráta were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Thanos Koumantarakis made the kick off in the second half. Achilleas Tsardikos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanos Koumantarakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Kleistó FC's Achilleas Tsardikos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Koumantarakis in the 80th minute of play. Theodosis Kiprakis struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Achilleas Tsardikos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mavráta. Tasos Koumantarakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miltos Kopitsis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mavráta booed when Kleistó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babbis Efthimiou didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Thanos Koumantarakis took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Achilleas Tsardikos to make any attempt to save it. Tasos Koumantarakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Babbis Tsirikas's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Alketas Pitsipopakis kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Petros Tsioridis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Petros Tsioridis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 99thth minute tested the skills of Achilleas Tsardikos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Mavráta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
