Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Savas Lianopoulos got the match started through his kick off. Savas Lianopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spyros Papanastasis having to interfere. Manos Symeonas kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Grégory Édel managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.E.K.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Grégory Édel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vlassis Kontodimopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute, Savas Lianopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Grigoris Vidalis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Spyros Papanastasis. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. King Morpheus FC's Anastasios Nikopolidis got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, A.E.K.'s Omiros Fragoulakis got a free kick in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Savas Lianopoulos could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Spyros Papanastasis however easily saved by the left post. In the 30th minute Grégory Édel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlassis Kontodimopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per Fredriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlassis Kontodimopoulos having to interfere. A collision led to A.E.K. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Grégory Édel hit a great ball. After some careless play in the King Morpheus FC defense, Per Fredriksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vlassis Kontodimopoulos. The King Morpheus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vlassis Kontodimopoulos should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Per Fredriksson made a kick off. King Morpheus FC's Vlassis Kontodimopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save King Morpheus FC from getting a goal against them. Grégory Édel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Savas Lianopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Spyros Papanastasis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Savas Lianopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Spyros Papanastasis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grégory Édel kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot King Morpheus FC's keeper Vlassis Kontodimopoulos was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The supporters of King Morpheus FC booed when A.E.K. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manos Symeonas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Spyros Papanastasis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Savas Lianopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Manos Symeonas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vlassis Kontodimopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Fredriksson in the 85th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Grégory Édel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vlassis Kontodimopoulos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Savas Lianopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. King Morpheus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Savas Lianopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. King Morpheus FC had played much better football throughout.
