Orchomenós FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iordanis Tirovolas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32ndth minute of the game Theofanis Kostakos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kastaniα BC's Stefanos Kioulekas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Giorgos Bitoulas got free in front of the goal in the 40th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Tilemachos Skapaneas was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Isidoros Papanastasiou kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After 48 played minutes Theofanis Kostakos rounded Kastaniα BC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giorgos Bitoulas couldn't finish the play. Fotis Kaktos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Theofanis Kostakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Orchomenós FC's goalkeeper Tilemachos Skapaneas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giorgos Bitoulas. Orchomenós FC's Tilemachos Skapaneas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Letsas in the 77th minute of play. Giorgos Bitoulas struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Tilemachos Skapaneas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kastaniα BC. Giorgos Bitoulas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tilemachos Skapaneas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play.
