In the 15th minute Thomas Tsoumas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Semertzis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitris Semertzis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timos Kidoniatis's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timos Kidoniatis in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimitris Semertzis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fotis Skouras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timos Kidoniatis struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Dimitris Semertzis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rizovoúni. When Vassilis Giatzoglou came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Pyrus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vassilis Giatzoglou couldn't finish the play. Pantelis Tochouroglou made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Vassilis Giatzoglou sent off a good shot on target. Timos Kidoniatis succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 36th minute Marios Mouraitidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Semertzis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Rizovoúni fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Rizovoúni's Timos Kidoniatis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half Rizovoúni were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vassilis Giatzoglou to make the kick off. Iakovos Iordanou scored 0-4 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimitris Semertzis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69thth minute of the game Fotis Skouras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pyrus's Dimitris Semertzis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Timos Kidoniatis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vassilis Giatzoglou took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pantelis Tochouroglou. Pantelis Tochouroglou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Timos Kidoniatis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rizovoúni's supporters rose to their feet, but Timos Kidoniatis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pyrus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rizovoúni the free kick. Vassilis Giatzoglou kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Timos Kidoniatis had several of the Pyrus's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 97 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-5 score and a disappointed Dimitris Semertzis as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rizovoúni's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
