In the 14th match minute, Prinilas Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stamatis Sakelaropoulos to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Aston Villa's Orestis Serdaris broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 22 minutes into the match, Efthimis Papastavrou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ntinos Zachalios. Prinilas Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efthimis Papastavrou was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Ignatios Metaxas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kyriakos Kantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themis Kyriakopoulos having to interfere. Ignatios Metaxas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Themis Kyriakopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Prinilas Utd's Ntinos Zachalios got control of the ball when Efthimis Papastavrou tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Giannis Thomakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efthimis Papastavrou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ntinos Zachalios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Themis Kyriakopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyriakos Kantas in the 43rd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ntinos Zachalios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Thomakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Prinilas Utd's Ignatios Metaxas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignatios Metaxas got free with Themis Kyriakopoulos in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Panagiotis Zoras's late challenge caught a Aston Villa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Panagiotis Zoras helped the player get up and apologised. Kyriakos Kantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themis Kyriakopoulos having to interfere. After having played for 79 minutes, Kyriakos Kantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prinilas Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyriakos Kantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Themis Kyriakopoulos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kyriakos Kantas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 82 minute of play.
