In the 10th minute Iosif Kontogiannis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Chatzipetrou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 played minutes Thiva got a freekick which was hit by Thrasivoulos Gletsos. Nikos Chatzipetrou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iosif Kontogiannis, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute Theodosis Siafakas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Chatzipetrou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandros Savvakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Chatzipetrou having to interfere. When Giorgos Kalevras fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thiva's protests and gave Giorgos Kalevras a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Thiva got a freekick which was hit by Giorgos Kalevras. The audience was convinced that Manos Anastasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kostas Chatzinikolaou was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Kostas Chatzinikolaou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Aggelakos in the 37th minute of the match. Theodosis Siafakas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Nikos Chatzipetrou made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Manos Anastasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kostas Chatzinikolaou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iosif Kontogiannis was the one to do the kick off. Nikos Chatzipetrou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Kontogiannis in the 56th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Theodosis Siafakas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iosif Kontogiannis struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Nikos Chatzipetrou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xνdhia BC. Nikos Chatzipetrou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theodosis Siafakas, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. With his leg Kostas Chatzinikolaou managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Thiva's Alexis Aggelakos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Xνdhia BC's zone, Alexis Aggelakos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Chatzinikolaou came out of the goal and Alexis Aggelakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miltos Kapellos charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miltos Kapellos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Miltos Kapellos hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Thrasivoulos Gletsos hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Nikos Chatzipetrou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theodosis Siafakas in the 86th minute of the match. Manos Anastasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Chatzinikolaou having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Thiva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paraskevas Ipsilantis to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Xνdhia BC had won after a very even match.
