Sokratis Eleftherou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Takis Mavrokordatos's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. PANIONIOS FC's Lambros Petratos got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to PANIONIOS FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Timos Sabrakos hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vassilis Kamelatos during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 13 minutes into the match, Kuro Siwo 1947 FC's goalkeeper Sokratis Eleftherou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lambros Petratos. Fanis Stamoulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vassilis Kamelatos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Vassilis Kamelatos came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Kuro Siwo 1947 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vassilis Kamelatos couldn't finish the play. Pavlos Kabolis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fanis Stamoulis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lambros Petratos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Sokratis Eleftherou made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takis Mavrokordatos in the 32nd minute of play forced Kuro Siwo 1947 FC's goalkeeper Sokratis Eleftherou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kuro Siwo 1947 FC's Vassilis Kamelatos got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vassilis Kamelatos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Takis Mavrokordatos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PANIONIOS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Takis Mavrokordatos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lambros Petratos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 48th playminute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Takis Mavrokordatos to make the kick off. Sokratis Eleftherou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takis Mavrokordatos, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 77 minutes of play Kuro Siwo 1947 FC's Vassilis Kamelatos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Lambros Petratos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Sokratis Eleftherou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fanis Stamoulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavlos Kabolis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sokratis Eleftherou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lambros Petratos in the 90th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Takis Mavrokordatos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kuro Siwo 1947 FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for PANIONIOS FC.
