The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Xνdhia BC's Theodosis Siafakas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentinos Kyriakakoglou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Theodosis Siafakas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 12 minutes, Iosif Kontogiannis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xνdhia BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iosif Kontogiannis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kostas Chatzinikolaou didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 16th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Theodosis Siafakas in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentinos Kyriakakoglou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 played minutes Oxford University got a freekick which was hit by Thanos Zotalopoulos. 24 minutes into the game, Nikos Liberiou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oxford University's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xνdhia BC the free kick. Nikos Liberiou kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Dimitris Kisemlis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Valentinos Kyriakakoglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theodosis Siafakas in the 34th minute of the match. Nikos Liberiou got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 36th match minute, Oxford University was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Liberiou to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Iosif Kontogiannis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentinos Kyriakakoglou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 minutes, Stathis Giannoulakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oxford University and the Xνdhia BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Oxford University:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Xνdhia BC:s goal.

If Dimitris Kisemlis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Nikos Tevekelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oxford University's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikos Tevekelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kostas Chatzinikolaou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dimitris Kisemlis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petros Tournas hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Iosif Kontogiannis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes, Nikos Tevekelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oxford University and the Xνdhia BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nikos Tevekelis kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Valentinos Kyriakakoglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iosif Kontogiannis in the 73rd minute of the match. Theodosis Siafakas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentinos Kyriakakoglou having to interfere. Valentinos Kyriakakoglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iosif Kontogiannis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kostas Chatzinikolaou came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Oxford University's Nikos Tevekelis. But to his dismay, Nikos Tevekelis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Iosif Kontogiannis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valentinos Kyriakakoglou came out and tried to block the shot, but Iosif Kontogiannis slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 89th minute. Kostas Chatzinikolaou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitris Kisemlis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Xνdhia BC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Oxford University.
