Ignatios Iosifakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vaggelis Eleftheriadis having to make a save. If Giannis Karalexopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Karalexopoulos in the 14th minute of play forced DOXA DRAMAS's goalkeeper Vaggelis Eleftheriadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filippos Mouratidis made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Zacharias Porros sent off a good shot on target. When Alkis Vassaras fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DOXA DRAMAS's protests and gave Alkis Vassaras a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to DOXA DRAMAS getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alkis Vassaras hit a great ball. Zacharias Porros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Iosif Tassoglou kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Filippos Mouratidis. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. If Giannis Karalexopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Α.Σ. ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΙΤΟΧΩΡΟΥ's Thanasis Siouras got a free kick in the 41st minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ignatios Iosifakis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filippos Mouratidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zacharias Porros's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Zinon Kominatos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Filippos Mouratidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sotos Mantas kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Vaggelis Eleftheriadis made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Giannis Karalexopoulos sent off a good shot on target. DOXA DRAMAS's Vaggelis Eleftheriadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignatios Iosifakis in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute Zacharias Porros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippos Mouratidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in DOXA DRAMAS's zone, Giannis Karalexopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaggelis Eleftheriadis came out of the goal and Giannis Karalexopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ignatios Iosifakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Vaggelis Eleftheriadis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, DOXA DRAMAS's Zacharias Toris broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Paschalis Argyropoulos's late challenge caught a Α.Σ. ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΙΤΟΧΩΡΟΥ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paschalis Argyropoulos helped the player get up and apologised.
